§ 7.5-11. Delinquent payments; phase-in of purchasers of interment rights prior to effective date of chapter.

(a)

The city clerk shall determine the names of all persons currently remitting the purchase price of a burial space in installments. Of these persons, the city clerk shall determine which are delinquent in their payments to the city. The city clerk shall then notify all of the delinquent payers, by certified mail, return receipt requested, that they are in default under the terms of the installment contract with the city, and that they will forfeit their right to be interred in the city cemetery and all payments made to date if they do not pay the balance due on the installment obligation within 90 days of receipt of the notice.

(b)

All persons who have purchased a right of interment for which they have paid the complete purchase price prior to the effective date of this chapter shall be issued a right of interment by the city clerk in accordance with section 7.5-3.
