§ 7.5-8. Extinguishment of rights.

(a)

Prior to issuance of any interment rights for any specific grave space, the grave space shall be paid in full. The city shall not accept any installment payments on any grave spaces other than those which have already been sold on the installment plan prior to the date of enactment of this chapter.

(b)

The Greenwood Cemetery Board shall provide annual statements of dues which shall be for the purpose of the maintenance of the Greenwood Cemetery. The payment of dues shall be an obligation of the owners of the burial spaces and for any grave space which is not occupied. If dues are not paid, the rights to interment shall be extinguished by nonpayment.

(c)

If the owner of the burial site dies without an heir, the interment rights shall be extinguished and the burial space shall revert to the city.
