§ 3-38. Height and setback requirements.

  • (a)

    Off-site advertising signs.

    (1)

    The maximum height of any off-site advertising sign shall not exceed 40 feet to the top measured from the grade of the centerline of the street to which the sign is oriented.

    (2)

    The minimum setback for any off-site advertising sign from the right-of-way shall be 15 feet from the base of the sign.

    (3)

    The minimum setback for any off-site advertising sign from side and rear property lines shall be ten feet from the base of the sign.

    (4)

    The minimum setback for any off-site advertising from any residential zoning district shall be 100 feet from the base of the sign.

    (5)

    In determining all setbacks and heights, measurements shall be made from the base of the sign.

    (b)

    Billboards.

    (1)

    The maximum height of any billboard shall not exceed 40 feet to the top measured from the grade of the centerline of the street to which the sign is oriented.

    (2)

    The minimum setback for any billboard from the right-of-way shall be 15 feet from the base of the sign.

    (3)

    The minimum setback for any off-site advertising sign from side and rear property lines shall be ten feet from the base of the sign.

    (4)

    The minimum setback for any off-site advertising from any residential zoning district shall be 100 feet from the base of the sign.

    (5)

    In determining all setbacks and heights, measurements shall be made from the base of the sign.
